Beverley's Beachside Campground is one of Taveuni's most famous icons. It is a budget travellers dream (and those that like to taste the simple island life).

It offers the cheapest and simplest accommodation in Taveuni with prices as low as $10 per person per night. Some guests stay for up to a month, as it is so relaxing and simple. Just the perfect getaway, for those who don't want the resort environment, but want to experience a slice of island life..

Right on the beach, Beverleys is in a tropical rainforest environment and has good toilet and shower facilities, albeit simple ones.

Located near Matei along the beautiful coastal road, Beverleys is close to all facilities such as diving, public transport, and restaurants.

Beverleys is a locally run, family operation. Your host Bill will see to all your needs and be prepared for the famous "lovo" (earth oven feast), which is usually around Wednesday night for a reasonable fee.

Bibi's is on the bus route from Vuna to Bouma, so sight-seeing by the public bus is very accessable, as is a trip to Tavoro falls located at Bouma National Park for around FJ$3 one way.

Beverleys has also introduced dormitory style accommodation and double/twin rooms for as little as FJ$20 per person per night. A bargain by today's standards.

For a modest fee, a tropical fruit breakfast is also available.

How to Get There	Bus: Catching the public bus north from Waiyevo jetty to Beverley's will cost you around FJ$3 and take about 25 minutes along the Matei coastal road. However, the bus only runs three times a day, (twice in the morning and once in the afternoon), so ask a local what times the bus runs and returns. From Matei airport, it takes about 15 minutes to get to Beverleys and will cost around FJ$1.80. Taxi: Catching a ride from the Wairiki wharf will cost you about FJ$20. If you are heading from Matei Airport, it will cost you around FJ$3
