Coconut Grove Beachfront Cottages is a small, intimate and popular resort with three beautiful seaside "bures" along with its own private, white sand beach.

Ronna Goldstein, an American ex-pat, who has chosen to make Taveuni her home, makes an excellent host and ensures all her guest's needs are well catered for.

Located in Matei, the heart and soul of Taveuni, it is only five minutes drive from the airport by taxi, along the coastal road, which also provides easy access from the ferry landing, at Wairiki, by local bus or taxi.

With only three bures, you get privacy with beach access just metres away. Each bure is distinct and reflects a theme, of which Ronna has put a lot of thought and detail into.

"This is small, well-maintained and very popular. The owner goes out of her way to ensure your stay is pleasant and privacy is guaranteed"

Restaurant
Coconut Grove also offers an excellent and high commended restaurant. The restaurant is small and intimate. Set on the front veranda of Ronna's home and overlooking the ocean. It has a very special feeling that all the staff want you to experience.

Your meals can be served in the oceanfront restaurant, on your private verandah or down on the beach by candlelight.

The restaurant serves food of which Coconut Grove is very proud of. They lean towards fresh fish and seafood, organically grown vegetables and homemade pastas.

The restaurant favourites include curries and Fijian food as well, they can also serve some of the finest beef New Zealand has to offer.

This is what Frommer's South Pacific 2002 had to say about Coconut Grove Restaurant..... "the best place to dine on Taveuni is the Coconut Grove restaurant"

Entertainment
Many nights local guys come play their ukuleles and sing their sweet island tunes, all to the background sound of the pacifying ocean waves.

Coconut Grove also has village night when the entire village performs meke (traditional story/dance) on the beach, followed by "lovo" (food cooked in an earth oven over volcanic rocks).
