Without a doubt one of the finest accommodation places in Taveuni for honeymooners or couples for that complete tranquil getaway, that you expect when visiting a tropical island paradise.

With only three "bures" (cottages) located on five acres of ground filled with gardens, palms, trees and flowers, you are sure to get all the privacy that you deserve on your honeymoon or relaxation getaway.

It offers a slice of romantic paradise you may be looking for, but won't easily find often in other parts of Fiji.

Todranisiga is locally owned and operated by May Goulding, who offers premium accommodation without paying huge fees charged at some resorts.

With an excellent seascape view and a westerly facing position, Todranisiga offers the best views of Taveuni's coastline and its world famous sunsets.

Each "bure" has traditionally thatched roof, polished wooden floorboards and an impressive outdoor shower. Hot water is also available. Cook your own meals or have it catered for, or simply visit some of the local eateries in the Matei area.

Here is what Rob Kay (www.fijiguide.com) had to say about Todranisiga:

For a couple wanting some privacy with a terrific seascape, check out Todranisiga, a great single bure a mere 5 minute walk from the airport. Operated by the winsome May Golding, born and raised in Fiji, her bures feature: one bedroom, a spacious bathroom, kitchenette, outdoor shower and yes, another place with a spectacular view. May also provides lots of goodies such as seasonal fruit from her garden (bananas, passion fruit, green drinking coconuts, papaya, etc) which is available daily. She may also surprise you with baked goods such as muffins, banana bread, scones and the like free of charge.

Bus: Catching the public bus north from Wairiki jetty will cost you around FJ$2.50 and take about 25 minutes along the coastal road.

Bouma National Park with Tavoro falls and Lavena Coastal Walk is just a bus ride away.

Reef snorkelling is always available as is kayaking, all within minutes by bus or taxi.
